So I got asked to present my thesis at the Michigan undergraduate archaeology conference this year. I’m heading down to Ann Arbor in march and am gonna smoooooze my ass off and hang out with my Michigan friends.

A work friend is also is moving back to the Okanagan and Josie and I might move into her apartment which means we can move out of the Northern Light college residence and become real people again.

AND most importantly I got a long overdue promotion and negotiated a wicked raise. Honestly I’m making out like a bandit for the next few months. Pft and they say there isn’t any money in archaeology.

on a side note Derek got me a non-tacky non-cheesy golden doodle stuffed animal because I never shut up about how I miss my dog. I, on the other hand, forgot to bring his gift over. And now we aren’t going to see each other for three weeks. Womp womp. He’s going to love his DFA 1979 shirt though since they weren’t selling them at the show we saw in Edmonton.
